Red Dead Redemption: The story takes place in the early 20th century, specifically in 1911, and follows John Marston, a former outlaw who chose to leave his criminal past behind to live a peaceful life away from crime. However, the U.S. government had other plans for him. Federal agents took his wife and son hostage, telling him that he would never see them again unless he hunted down and killed the key members of his former gang.
