Eastward: The story takes place after a disaster that befell the globe called the toxic sapphire disaster, where humans began to live underground after the disaster led to the extermination of most forms of life on the surface of the earth. A girl named "Sam" while digging in the mines and he treats her as if she was his real daughter. One day, she decided to venture into the forbidden lands until she finds a way out that leads to the surface. The surprise is that she found a luxurious land full of blue rivers and green meadows, and just revealing this secret threatens the life of the community. Which resides under the entire Earth's surface, so Sam and John are banished to the Earth's surface, toward the settlements of surviving humans trying to counteract the remnants of the poisonous sapphire with all their might.

Eastward: تحدث القصة بعد كارثة حلت على الكرة الأرضية تسمى ب كارثة الزفير السام حيث أصبح البشر يعيشوا تحت الأرض بعد أن أدت الكارثة إلى إبادة معظم أشكال الحياة الموجودة على سطح الأرض القصة نفسها تحدث بعد عشرات السنين من كارثة الزفير السام حيث كان هناك عامل منجم اسمه جون وجد فتاة اسمها "سام" أثناء الحفر في المناجم و أصبح يعاملها كما لو كانت ابنته الحقيقية وفي أحد الأيام قررت المغامرة في الأراضي المحرمة حتى تجد مخرجا يؤدي إلى السطح والمفاجأة هو أنه وجدت أرض مرفهة مليئة بالأنهار الزرقاء والمروج الخضراء، ومجرد كشف هذا السر يهدد حياة المجتمع الذي يقيم تحت سطح الأرض بأكمله، لذلك يتم نفي سام وجون إلى سطح الأرض، نحو مستوطنات البشر الناجين الذين يحاولون مواجهة ما تبقى من الزفير السام بكل قواهم.
